MCGREGOR IS EXCLUSIVE CLOTHING SPONSOR OF THE AMSTERDAM HOCKEY AND BANDY CLUB AND THE LAREN MIXED HOCKEY CLUB
McGregor AND HOCKEY CLUBS SIGN 3-YEAR CONTRACT
Driebergen-Rijsenburg. McGregor has signed a deal for the next three years to be the exclusive clothing sponsor of the Amsterdam Hockey and Bandy Club (AH&BC) and the Laren Mixed Hockey Club (LMHC). The agreement covers the design and manufacture of a new match kit and a line up tracksuit for all players in both clubs. The new kits are available from today.
Inspiration and club history
The inspiration for the design of the kits mostly comes from the rich histories of the clubs, both of which prize their club identity. One example is the inclusion of the familiar three crosses on the AH&BC match kits. These St Andrew's crosses also make up the heart of the Amsterdam city coat of arms. A unique badge has been designed for each club, which incorporates their most important features.
Coolpro by McGregor
For the next three seasons the AH&BC and LMHC first teams will be playing in the 'home and away' match kits: these are made of ‘Coolpro’, a material specially developed by McGregor. This material, used in the shirts, absorbs extra moisture for greater comfort during physical exertion.
Junior and senior members
The match kits for the juniors and seniors in both clubs are identical in design to those for the first teams. The only difference is in the shirt material: here the designers have gone for a light pique polo material. The juniors at AH&BC also get line up tracksuits, while for seniors there are the tracksuits.
Perfect partners
For McGregor, hockey is an important platform for reaching its target group, and it sees both Amsterdam and Laren as perfect partners. The Amsterdam Hockey & Bandy Club is the oldest hockey club in the Netherlands and has always been a leading club at the top level. The Laren Mixed Hockey Club has an extremely rich history, and plays exceptional hockey at the highest level.
Besides Amsterdam and Laren, McGregor also sponsors the juniors, seniors and first teams at the Hockeyclub Klein Zwitserland in The Hague and the juniors at the Gooische and Huizer hockey clubs.
