McGREGOR TAKES OVER PLIABLE CHAIN

DRIEBERGEN-RIJSENBURG - McGregor Fashion Group N.V. announces it has reached agreement on the takeover of the ladies' fashion chain Pliable.

The Pliable chain has 15 ladies' fashion stores, and is mainly active in the western Netherlands. The takeover will affect 13 locations in total: the remaining 2 stores will continue trading under a different name. Pliable's turnover in 2006 was somewhere in the region of €8 million and the company employs a total of 85 staff. The handover will take place on 2 July 2008.

The Pliable formula operates in the mid to high-end segment of the Dutch ladies' fashion market and carries brands like Turnover, Josephine & Co, Jackpot, Just B, Marc O'Polo and McGregor. The Pliable stores will eventually be converted into one of the group's existing retail formulas. The takeover is part of the proposed expansion of the number of McGregor Womenswear Stores.

The McGregor Fashion Group is a fast-growing, international fashion group with a turnover of around €165 million this year and some 500 staff. The group's brands are McGregor, Gaastra and Dimaggio. Not only are the group's brands sold through 3,000 multi-brand clients in Europe, but also in about 100 of its own stores. The McGregor Fashion Group has its head office in Driebergen.
