MCGREGOR DONATES SPECIALLY DESIGNED COLOURFUL DOCTOR'S COATS TO THE RONALD MCDONALD KINDERSTAD CHILDREN'S FACILITY AT AMSTERDAM'S VU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER

McGregor and its company clothing division, ETP, are donating specially designed coats for doctors and nurses to the Ronald McDonald Kinderstad children's facility at Amsterdam's VU University Medical Center. The cheerful coloured coats with Spyker-inspired badges can be worn over their uniforms and add to the young patients' experience of Kinderstad (Dutch for "children's town") as a cheerful place in the hospital. In Kinderstad there is a real Spyker racing car with a video screen that allows the children to play a racing game. McGregor has been sponsoring Spyker since 2000. In the hospital's Kinderstad (which covers an area of 835m2), young patients at the medical centre can play and relax with friends and family, forget they are sick and just be children again. As they are truly "outside" the hospital environment, Kinderstad helps the social development of children with long-term illnesses.
